As most mums do, I tend to put everyone else first. I think sometimes this is why some women tend to feel like they have lost their identities - we are too busy organising and fitting in around everyone else's lives. It’s hard to spend money on yourself, especially for aesthetic reasons, yet we don't think as much about spending money on a nicer car or an overseas trip, but for some reason the thought of spending that money on your body is frowned upon.
To some it may seem vain or conceited. For me, it was about finding my self-confidence (both physically and emotionally) that I had lost after having our beautiful twins. When I look in the mirror I like what I see now. When I feel good about myself…inside and out…I am a better woman, a better wife, and a better mum. It is absolutely normal to feel guilty about spending money on cosmetic surgery but it IS ok to finally put yourself first. A mummy makeover with the incredibly talented Dr. Joel Unson in Manila is the best money I have ever spent…just ask my family.
